| Abstract: | The potential energy curve for the ground state of BiI has been constructed by the methods of Lakshman and Rao and of Jarmain. The dissociation energy is estimated to be 1.949±0.009 eV from fitting the three-parameter Lippincott potential function. The value recommended by Gaydon is 2.5±1.0 eV. |
