| Abstract: | Feedback control on thermal convection in a fluid-saturated porous medium is investigated based on the dynamical systems approach. A low dimensional Lorenz-like model was obtained using the Galerkin-truncated approximation. The possible suppression or enhancement of chaotic convection is demonstrated when the fluid layer is subjected to feedback control in a low-dimensional framework. |
