On the Existence of Solutions for Some Nondegenerate Nonlinear Wave Equations of Kirchhoff Type

Abstract:Let OHgr be a bounded domain in #x211D;n with a smooth boundary Gamma. In this work we study the existence of solutions for the following boundary value problem:

where M is a C1-function such that M(lambda) ges lambda0 > 0 for every lambda ges 0 and f(y) = |y|agry for agr ges 0.
