| Abstract: | Conventional optical elements like lenses and stops for the generation of light sheets in experimental fluid mechanics are challenged by modern diffractive optical elements (DOE) made to the specifications of the user. We report on a first application in connection with droplet investigations suggesting an enormous potential of the new technique. |
