| Abstract: | Reduction of α-benzyloxy acetylenic ketones with zinc borohydride afforded the erythro-acetylenic vicinal diols in 95% stereoselectivity, while reduction with K-selectride gave the isomeric threo-diols in 90% stereoselectivity. |
