| Abstract: | α ω-Alkane-bis-dimethylarsine Sulfides and Selenides, a Novel Class of Ligands The reaction of α,ω-alkane-bis-dimethylarsanes (CH3)2As? (CH2)n? As (CH3)2 with sulfur and selenium results in formation of the sulfides and selenides, respectively, (CH3)2As(X)? (CH2)n? As(CH3)2 or (CH3)2As(X)? (CH2)n? As(X)(CH3)2 (X = S, Se), which form chelat-complexes with the salts CoX2 · 6 H2O (X = Cl?, Br?, I?, NO3?). The UV-spectra of the complexes are presented and discussed. |
