Theoretical Studies of the Ising Bilayer System Consisting of Spin-1/2 and Spin-1 Atoms

Abstract:In the paper, the theoretical studies of a magnetic bilayer with s.c. symmetry, composed of the Ising spins 1 and 1/2 are carried out. The Cluster Variational Method in Pair Approximation (CVMPA) is adopted. The phase diagrams and magnetisation curves pertaining to various spatial spin distributions are obtained, showing the important influence of spin-mixing and spin-segregation on the magnetic properties.
