Polyamidmethode zur quantitativen Bestimmung der Nicotins?ure

Zusammenfassung Ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Nicotinsäure und des Nicotinamids mit Hilfe von aktivem Polyamidpulver in Mikro-Chromatographierohren wird beschrieben. Das Verfahren gestattet, Nicotinsäure in Gegenwart von Nicotinamid schnell mit Hilfe der Spektralphotometrie bei 262 nm zu erfassen. Das Nicotinsäureamid, das vom Polyamid nicht adsorbiert wird, kann erst nach saurer Hydrolyse auf dem gleichen Weg bestimmt werden.

Polyamide method for the quantitative determination of nicotinic acid

A new method is described for the isolation of nicotinic acid (niacin) from pharmaceutical products. Niacin is separated by adsorption on activated polyamide-powder in a microchromatographic column. For libration of the vitamin the adsorbent is eluted with a solution of NaCl. The amide of nicotinic acid which is not adsorbed, passes through the column. With this method it is possible to determine nicotinic acid in the presence of nicotinamide. The amide can be determined after hydrolysis in the same way. The amounts are measured spectroscopically.
