| Abstract: | Four di(phenyl sulphinyl)alkane were synthesized by oxidation of corresponding sulfide with nitric acid and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy. The method has the advantages of high purity of the intermediates and high yield of the end products. |
