赵翼家世探疑

关于清代著名史家、文学家赵翼的家世问题，一般均从《瓯北先生年谱》或《西盖赵氏宗谱》之说，认为其“本宋室后”。笔者近年来细读瓯北诗及相关史料，提出不同意见。即赵翼乃宋人赵拧之后，赵拧与宋宗室没有瓜葛。赵翼自号瓯北之缘由，众说纷纭。赵柿之祖湘，已“家于衢”。衢，乃浙江衢州。瓯江，即永嘉江。衢州恰在瓯江之北。笔者认为赵翼以此自号，乃示不忘祖宗之意。这则从另一层面证明，他似系宋赵柿之后，而非宋宗室之裔。

The Textual Research into ZhaoYi Family Background

The researchers generally think of the famous historian and writer in the Qing Dynasty ZhaoYi is the imperial kinsman of the Song Dynasty. After having read ZhaoYi＇ s poems and the relevant historical documents in recent years, the author has different views： ZhaoYi is the descendant of Zhao Bian in the Song Dynasty, who has no clan relationship with the emperors in the Song Dynasty. There are diffenent versions of the fact that ZhaoYi named himself Oubei. In fact, Zhao Yi＇ s ancestors lived in Quzhou in Zhejiang province, which lies in the north of Oujiang River （also called Yongjia River）. The author holds that Zhao Yi＇ s naming himself Oubei shows that he always kept his ancestors in mind, and that he seems to be Zhao Bian＇ s offspring, but not an imperial kinsman of the Song Dynasty.
