| Abstract: | Syn-alpha-substituted beta-amino Weinreb amides are new chiral building blocks for asymmetric synthesis of syn-alpha-substituted beta-amino acids, aldehydes, and ketones and are prepared by addition of prochiral lithium enolates of Weinreb amides to sulfinimines (N-sulfinyl imines). |
