Abstract: | We study the effect of connectance on the Lyapunov characteristic exponents of products of symplectic random matrices, which mimic the chaotic behaviour of a large class of hamiltonian systems. It is shown that no significative modifications appear in the spectrum of the Lyapunov characteristic exponents when the number of interacting neighbours is increased. |
