Statistics of composed pulses in superfluorescence

The statistics of superfluorescence pulses, which are formed by the superposition of N independently generated ones, may be derived from the single-pulse statistics. Three possibilities are presented and discussed. An intuitive interpretation of some recent results in three-dimensional superfluorescence becomes obvious.
