Abstract: | An interesting form of quark mass matrices that arises in left-right symmetric models of weak interactions is discussed. It leads to a maximal CP-phase in the left-handed charged-current quark mixing matrix and to predictions for the mixing matrix elements Uus and Ucb in agreement with experiment, leaving Uub as a free parameter. A way in which the model may be realized in a technically natural manner is described. |
