| Abstract: | A covalently triggered fluorescence turn-on detection scheme has been implemented for a tris(N-salicylideneamine)-derived dynamic fluorophore. Selective cleavage of strategically placed Si-O bonds by fluoride ion induces spring-loaded conformational transitions that are tightly coupled to fluorescence enhancement. |
