| Abstract: | Optimum conditions for the colour reaction of Nb ( V ) with 5-Br-PADAP are studied thoroughly and a method for the determination of Nb in steel is proposed. The method is proved to be simple rapid and easy to manipulate. It has been applied to the determination of 0. 010% to 6. 00% of Nb in steel with satisfactory results. |
