Abstract: | The efficiencies of a number of solutes in reducing the concentration of trapped electrons in gamma-irradiated ethyleneglycol-water glasses at 77 K has been studied, inclusive of trap depth variation studies. A model, involving the polarising power of the solutes has been suggested to explain the relative efficiencies of solutes in reducing the yield of trapped electrons. |
