Energy-resolved and thermalized photoisomerization rates of diphenylbutadiene

Abstract:Recent measurements of energy-resolved photoisomerization rates of jet-cooled diphenylbutadiene molecules are analyzed in terms of RRKM calculations. Perfect agreement over a wide energy range is obtained. A comparison of the thermally averaged rates with liquid-phase data is made.
