| Abstract: | From the point of view of thermodynamics, using enthalpy as the thermo-dynamic potential function, plane stress waves in an isotropic nonlinear elastic solid are investigated under the adiabatic approximation. A specific initial-boundary-value problem is solved, and the influence of thermodynamic effects is discussed in detail. |
