| Abstract: | We report on simultaneous measurements of the Hall-effect and resistivity in the metallic glasses Pd80Si20 and Ni78Si8B14. Data were taken within a temperature range of 1.7 to 300 K and in magnetic fields up to 1.1 T. Whereas the Hall constant is nearly independent of temperature in case of Pd80Si20, it changes sign at low temperatures in Ni78Si8B14. The implications of the low temperature results are discused with respect to the origin of a resistivity minimum, present in both alloys. |
