| Abstract: | We study the lattice dynamics of colloidal crystals on the assumption that the potential interactions are limited to nearest neighbors and next nearest neighbors and that the long range hydrodynamic interactions may be treated in point approximation. We show that this does not lead to satisfactory agreement with existing experimental data. |
