| Abstract: | Reductive pinacol-type rearrangement of chiral α-mesyloxy ketones was effected by organoaluminums (DIBAL in combination with Et3Al or Et2AlCl) leading to enantiomerically pure 2-aryl- or 2-alkenyl-1-propanols. |
