Thermal properties of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) glycinates and iminodiacetates. Critical comparison

Abstract:The thermal properties of the Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of iminodiacetic acid (H2IDA) and of glycine were determined using TG, DTG and DSC techniques. The thermal properties of the two series were compared and discussed in terms of IR spectra, ΔH, ΔG and ΔS for the formation of the complexes in aqueous solutions, as well as the thermal data.
