| Abstract: | Theoretical results on the propagation of magnetoacoustic waves in an ideal magnetic fluid with frozen magnetization are generalized. Expressions for the propagation velocity of fast and slow magnetoacoustic waves and Alfven waves are derived. Agreement between the theoretical and experimental results is demonstrated for the fast magnetoacoustic waves propagating in a water-based magnetic fluid. |
