Abstract: | A 54-year-old man with a history of myocardial infarction presented with recurrent transient ischemic attacks 7 yr after the acute event. The emboli originated from a left ventricular thrombus despite adequate oral anticoagulant therapy. The thrombus was best detected with magnetic resonance imaging and had to be removed by surgery. |
