| Abstract: | Exciton localization at islands of cylindrical shape in quantum-well structures has been studied theoretically. It is shown that an exciton localizes at such islands, as a rule, as a whole. The validity regions of the adiabatic approximation in factorization of the exciton wave function have been established.
