| Abstract: | Emission at fifty discrete wavelengths is observed when Ba I is excited by two laser beams, a dye laser tuned to the λ 7911 Å intercombination line, 6s21S0-6s6p 3P1 and a ruby laser. The wavelengths range from 2312 Å to 8027 Å. Most of the emission lines can be attributed to four-wave mixing processes in barium. |
