Crystallization of amorphous Ni55Pd35P10 alloys

Abstract:The crystallization of Ni55Pd35P10 alloys was examined by isochronal resistivity and hardness measurements, along with observations of the phase transformation in the heating stage of a transmission electron microscope (TEM). The resistivity temperature coefficient between 26 and 250°C is low (9.38 × 10?5/°C); a few metastable phases form on crystallization. The hardness-temperature curve shows the hardness to increase as the metastable phases appear.
