| Abstract: | CdS transducers are found to have a strong adhesion to a well cleaned rare earth metal surface. They allow ultrasonic measurements to be made in regions found impossible using bonded quartz transducers. Measurements of C11 in Tb as a function of magnetic field are presented to demonstrate their performance. |
