| Abstract: | The Statistical characteristics of Fractal Brownian (FB) random field are derived and it is proved that FB incremental field is a stationary one. A time-domain ergo-dicity theorem and a frequency-domain ergodicity theorem are proposed and proved. These theorems provide time-domain and frequency-domain methods for the calculation of parameter H of an FB random field. It is shown that so far as the solution of H is concerned, the frequency-domain method is better than the time-domain one in noise suppression. |
