Abstract: | We have investigated the spin dynamics of a distorted perovskite Eu0.6Sr0.4MnO3 by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy. Below 70 K the exchange interaction grows gradually, and below 42 K the spins turn into a cluster glass state. The magnetic field-induced insulator-to-metal (IM) transition at low temperature is a transition from cluster glass to ferromagnet. The induced metallic phase seems to be still in non-uniform electronic state. On the other hand, at 80 K, just above T c of the induced ferromagnet, a metamagnetic transition was observed. |
