A Study on SO 2 Poisoning Properties of Perofskite ABO 3 and ABO 3/CaO for CO Oxidation

Abstract:Perofskite ABO 3, ABO 3/CaO(A=La,Sr, B=Fe,Co)catalysts were prepared by the impregnation and decomposition of the salts. The sulfur resistant properties and mechanism in the CO oxidation were studied using IR and fix bed micro reactor with a continuous SO 2 flow. The results show that the catalysts were poisoned by SO 2 to a certain extent in the low temperature while the supported ABO 3/CaO samples possess a high sulfur resistant property. According to these observations, the poisoning mechanism is discussed.
