| Abstract: | Ethoxymethxoymethane(EMM) was conveniently prepared by acetalization of aqueous formaldehyde with methanol and ethanol in a batch reactive distillation mode using a cation-exchange resin catalyst for the first time.EMM was found to be a significant cosolvent of methanol/gasoline blends. |
