Abstract: | Quantum computation is becoming an important and effective tool to overcome the high real-time computational requirements of classical digital image processing. The quantum representations of two-dimensional images have been a lot of achievements. However, there are only few methods to express a three-dimensional image by quantum representation. In this paper, a three-dimensional quantum representation for digital images — quantum point cloud is proposed. Moreover, a lossy compression method is used to reduce the complexity of preparation. |
