| Abstract: | The effect of the ultraviolet radiation of PRK mercury-quartz lamps on the life of four polymers has been investigated under vacuum and in air. It is shown that the role of oxygen and water vapor is not an important one. The effect of UV radiation on the life and creep of stressed polymers in air and under vacuum is practically the same.A.
