| Abstract: | Highly active shape selective catalysts with excellent thermal stability are synthesized by entrapping well dispersed platinum nanoparticles in a polyfurfuryl alcohol derived nanoporous carbon matrix; these nanocomposites are excellent candidates for new catalytic applications including fuel cells, pharmaceutical synthesis and biomass conversion. |
