建设社会主义和谐社会是科学发展观对社会发展的必然要求,在这一进程中,高校有着独特的责任和贡献,主要表现在以人才培养、科学研究为核心的社会服务方面。同时,高校也应认真实施新一轮教育振兴行动计划,从教育发展、教育管理、教育环境、教育竞争等四个方面着手构建和谐大学,以成为建设和谐社会的表率。

The Responsibility of the Institutions of Higher Learning in Building a Harmonious Society

To build a harmonious socialist society is the essential requirement for social development addressed by the scientific development concept. In this process, institutions of higher learning should play a special part mainly in social services focusing on talents cultivation and scientific research.
