| Abstract: | Allyltin chlorides (or bromides) may be prepared by simple exchange reactions between tetraallyltin and the corresponding tetrahalide. Hydroboration of allylttrimethyltin yields the air-reactive borane, [Me3Sn(CH2)3]3B, which is readingly oxidised to the corresponding alcohol Me3Sn(CH2)3OH. |
