Structures of grain boundaries in sintered silicon |

| Abstract: | The investigation of near coincidence boundaries in sintered silicon by transmission electron microscopy revealed a fine structure (steps, dislocations). For a Σ = 9 coincidence orientation it will be demonstrated that faceting of an inclined grain boundary reduces the total energy. |
