Abstract:It is revealed that La 2O 3/SrCO 3 BaCO 3 is a good catalyst for oxidative coupling of methane with high methane conversion and high C 2 selectivity. The catalytic performance and surface properties of this catalyst were investigated using catalytic activity testing, pulse reaction technique, CO 2 TPD, XRD and ESR methods. SrCO 3 additive affects the structure, surface basicity, lattice oxygen mobility and catalytic surface oxgen species of La 2O 3/BaCO 3 catalyst, thus elevates both CH 4 conversion and C 2 selectivity.
