Abstract: | Synthesis of alkyl aryl ethers via copper‐catalyzed etherizations of electron‐deficient aryl fluorides with quaternary ammonium bromides and water has been developed. In the presence of Cu(OAc)2, POPh3 ( L4 ) and Cs2CO3, a variety of electron‐deficient aryl fluorides underwent the reaction with quaternary ammonium bromides and H2O in moderate to good yields. The mechanism was also discussed. |
