Abstract: | Metal ion incorporation intoN-methyl-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine (N-CH3TSPP) has been shown to be much faster than that for non-methylated porphyrins such as 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine (TSPP). We have proposed a kinetic method, utilizing differential rate of metal ion incorporation into N-CH3TSPP, for the determination of submicrogram amounts of copper(II) and zinc(II) in serum. |
