Conclusions From the NQR spectra of the halides HgHal₂ -D (Hal = Cl, Br, or I; D = SCH₃CH₂CH₂SCH₃, N(CH₃)₂ CH₂CH₂N(CH₃)₂, or OCH₃CH₂CH₂OCH₃) it follows that in their complexing ability the sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms can be arranged in the order: S > N > I.
