Review of the Study on Coherent Structure of Turbulence in Open-channelFlow and Its Interaction with Sediment Movement

Progresses in the research on the coherent structure of turbulence in open channel flow and the interactions among coherent structures, sediments and bedforms have been made in recent years. The brief review is divided into research methods, coherent structures in open channel flow, sediment movement and bedforms, coherent structures and sediment movement, coherent structures and bedforms, and so on. The emphasis is placed on the prospects of further studies. More accurate tests are suggested to deeply and study the interaction and the feedback mechanism between coherent structures and sediment movement.
