| Abstract: | Ethernet PON is a new generation of access networks. It has showed the great superiority in bandwidth and the combination with the backbone network. The paper tries to introduce the technical structure of EPON in detail from the evolution of the system. It also describes the operation of the Multipoint Control Protocol(MPCP)and discusses the application of MPCP in dynamitic bandwidth-allocation and RTT measurement. |
