| Abstract: | The heat loss accompanying (external) friction is calculated on the basis of arguments relating the Umov vector to the friction force.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 7, pp. 47–49, July, 1974.This study was carried out in the physics laboratory of the Moscow Machine and Instrument Institute.
