| Abstract: | structure: see text] A new boronic acid fluorescent on-off reporter compound (1) was synthesized. This fluorescent sensor shows a 41-fold emission intensity increase upon addition of 50 mM fructose in 0.1 M aqueous phosphate buffer at pH 7.4. |
