Abstract: | The reduction of substituted N-(o-nitrophenyl)glycines with tin(II) chloride results in closure of a 1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrazine ring. Depending on the conditions, either the product contains no chlorine atom or the chlorine atom in the product occupies the ortho position with respect to the NHC(O) group.Translated from Zhurnal Obshchei Khimii, Vol. 74, No. 10, 2004, pp. 1706–1708.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2004 by Vlaskina, Perevalov. This revised version was published online in April 2005 with a corrected cover date. |
