Extractive spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II) and platinum(II) with 2-allylthiourea and thiocyanate in the presence of EDTA

Palladium(II) and platinum(II) react with 2-allylthiourea and thiocyanate to form colored complexes stable in the presence of EDTA and extractable into isoamyl alcohol. Based on these properties a method was worked out for the extractive spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II) and platinum(II) in the presence of several cations.
