Temperature dependences of laser pulse induced transient cooling and heating of CO2 and its mixtures

Abstract:Rise times of the density decrease generated by a 10.6 μm laser pulse in CO2 and its mixture with N2 or He were observed by the optical method in the temperature range 250–350 K. Efficiencies of the transient cooling were also observed.
